POST-IT NOTE:
Well, you’ve made it this far. This is the 3rd and final (hopefully) class on Forum Tips & Tricks. For those of you who have taken the time to learn these, thank you. By becoming fluent in, and actually using these, you help improve the forums by enriching its contents.
If you’ve not yet read the previous 2 classes, here they are below.
And so without further ado, here is the last lesson… * I hope!
Eighth Lesson: You should already know how to highlight in yellow, but did you know you can also highlight in green? Instead of using <mark>...</mark> just simply use <ins>...</ins> instead, where … is the text you want highlighted.
In additon to that you may also want to show a highlighted, deleted text, and by using <del>...</del> you should can. Which leads us to…
Ninth Lesson: Sometimes you just want to show a proper correct form or newer wording, while still showing the orignal word(s). You can strike-thru the text by using [s]text[/s], which will render as text. To extend past the edges, type [s] text [/s] for the effect of text .
 emulates a balnk space while not actually being blank, thus allowing the continuation of a through the text.
Tenth Lesson: When something calls for a notation, what do you do? You Cite1 it. What I typed to get that was Cite1. This lets you float text, and the ‘1’ can be subbed out for just about any character. So you can post as opposed to . Any ’s?
What if you want to drop text, not float it? Then use this to do it. It’s done like this. Which can be interesting…
Eleventh Lesson: Want to make your own chart?
| Things To Do… | ||
|---|---|---|
| Do this list | ||
| Clean the attic | ||
| Wash the car |
<< Tap there to see what I typed.
| | Things To Do... | |
|--- |---| ---|
| [x] | Do this list |
| [] | Clean the attic |
| [] | Wash the car |
The [ x ] pre-cheks your box for you and you can check and uncheck the boxes if needed once done (Try it on mine). You can configure this any way you wan to, or use the one built into the text box when you type by activating(+) and selecting ‘Insert Table’.
Typing in between the | | lines creates a different field.
That’s the end of that one…
Twelvth Lesson: Instead of pasting a url or web link, which does this…
Consider doing this instead…
By typing it like this.
[Wiki: Nashville](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/nashville).
As a fun note you can also just type in blue and wonder how many people try to click it. Simply type [text here]() It goes nowhere without a correct link.
Well. I guess that’s about all… You wont be needing me no more… Think I’ll just… What do you mean who passed? You all did. Use it wisely. Now get!

FYI, Just search any aboved ‘hashtaged’/pound words on the main ‘welcome back’ page to find these classes again. Better yet, point all the new users to them. ![]()
