Jesus, the Anointed Man—Not God?

Is it possible to be “anointed by God” and not be divine?

A recent voice in our community argues that Jesus was just that—an anointed man, uniquely chosen, empowered, and enlightened by the Spirit, but not actually God in the flesh. In this view, Jesus became “the Christ” not because He is divine, but because He fully received and embodied the Spirit of God. To them, “Christ” is not a divine title but a status anyone can attain when fully surrendered to God’s Spirit—just as described in Matthew 3:16.

This perspective often goes further:

  • The Holy Spirit is not a Person, but a divine mindset or consciousness.
  • Jesus didn’t die as a substitutionary sacrifice but to demonstrate what divine love looks like.
  • Salvation is found not in belief or repentance, but in awakening to our inner divine identity.
  • Paul’s writings are treated skeptically—seen as theological overreach rather than divine revelation.

For those who hold this view, Jesus serves more as a pattern or prototype than a divine Savior.

But traditional Christianity tells a very different story.

According to Scripture and the historic creeds, Jesus is not merely a Spirit-filled human—He is Emmanuel, “God with us.” He didn’t become Christ at baptism; He was the eternal Word made flesh from the beginning (John 1:1–14). His anointing by the Spirit revealed, not created, His divine Sonship. And far from being just one of many “Christs,” He is the one and only—the uniquely begotten Son of the Father.

This classic view affirms:

  • Jesus is both fully God and fully man—two natures in one Person.
  • His atoning death and resurrection are the only way to salvation.
  • The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity—active, personal, divine.
  • The title “Christ” refers to Jesus alone, not to a universal consciousness.

So which is it?
Was Jesus simply a Spirit-anointed prophet, or the eternal God come in the flesh?

Let’s wrestle with these questions:

  • What does it really mean to be “anointed”?
  • Can “Christ” be a universal title anyone can achieve—or is that heresy?
  • Is denying Christ’s divinity a sincere alternative view—or a departure from the gospel?

“Who do you say that I am?” – Jesus (Matthew 16:15)

There is only one God of Love and man is the temple, recipient of it. If that is so difficult to understand, it would be wise to seek out that God in yourself. What you are trying to do is make Him something else that you can understand from a mind that is carnal is all.
Try asking of God His will be your own will instead of dictating to Him your own will for Him. If you would do that in all honesty, He will come in to you and sup with you and be in you. And you would sit with Him in His throne. Rev 3:20-21.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

But that isn’t going to happen is it?

If one has not met God face to face and only know others opinion about Him, how can you say that you are of God if you never have even met Him? If all that Jesus can do is tell you who you should be in the father without any action for proof that you have become like him and in His same Spiritual image, then Jesus was only wasting his time with it if the revelation that comes by God Himself is of none effect that you should walk as He walks in His same light of mind with the same signs following you. And what Jesus said that ye shall do even greater works than I, do you is the real question, is his words ignored or have the become life in you that you be? It seem Jesus might as well have said noting to some here fore obviously they do not believe what he says at all according to the rebuttal against who he said he was in God and we must have the same.

@Mac, you’ve strung together some poetic fluff and tried to baptize it with a few verses, but let’s not pretend syrup is the same as substance. You’re handing out mysticism dressed up as gospel truth, and it’s time somebody flipped that sacred cow.

Yes, man is the temple of the Holy Spirit if he’s in Christ. That’s Bible. But “seek God in yourself” sounds a whole lot more like Eastern self-realization than biblical Christianity. Scripture doesn’t tell you to dive inward and find God curled up in your spiritual DNA. It tells you to repent, believe, and receive the Spirit by faith in Christ, not by navel-gazing.

And that “carnal mind” comment? Romans 8 says the carnal mind is hostile to God. So when you suggest using that same carnal mind to discover Him, you’re promoting the very thing Scripture condemns. Flesh doesn’t find God. Flesh flees Him.

You toss out Revelation 3 like it’s an invitation to inner godhood. But Jesus is talking to a lukewarm church that thought it needed nothing. He’s not asking to merge with your soul. He’s confronting complacency and offering fellowship to the repentant, not mystical union with the self.

Then you drop the classic experiential grenade. “If you haven’t met God face to face, you don’t know Him.” That’s rich. Moses met God and begged Him to hide His face. Isaiah saw the Lord and said “Woe is me.” You see God and apparently give Him a high five? That’s not awe. That’s arrogance.

And the “greater works” bit? Let’s not cherry-pick miracles without reading the whole mission. Jesus said believers would do greater works because He was going to the Father. That means the Gospel would go global, not that you’d outdo the resurrection. Don’t twist kingdom expansion into a supernatural contest.

Here’s the blunt truth. If your theology leads you to elevate self, diminish Christ, and replace Scripture with subjective vibes, it’s not Christianity. It’s spiritual cosplay. The real Jesus doesn’t affirm your inner light. He commands all men everywhere to repent and follow Him.

So I’ll ask you what Jesus asked Peter. “Who do you say I am?” If your answer is a mystical man with good vibes and borrowed divinity, you’ve missed the Christ entirely.

@SincereSeeker #1 All I did was copy and past who Jesus said he was in God. You can count his words a poetic if you like but as for me he had the truths about his God that he called Father, same One I call Father. And if you see the quotes from Jesus as mysticism dressed up as gospel and he flipped his screw loose, then I really do understand your rebuttal of Jesus himself in who he said he was in God.

#2. Seeking God in yourself only sounds like eastern self realization if you never have met Him in yourself. You can’t know the God of it at all least you have ment Him, He in you and you in Him as one as Jesus prayed to his God for you to be in John 17. If that is foreign to your understanding it would be wise to actually listen to Jesus instead of mans own ideas about it.
And if you think that scripture does not pint for you to be in God and He be in you as one, and walk as He walks in His same light of mind, then you are not of His Christ at all. God commands He be in you, Anointed of God, which would be Christ in you. You commend that He can’t be according to what you just stated. total rejecting who He said you should be.
And you do not receive Gods Spirit by faith at all, you receive His Spirit the same was a Jesus did in Matt 3:16 by obedience and let God in your being. All that you are doing is making up your own god that you can dictate to and control.

Jesus didn’t say Roman 8 at all, that was Paul’s own opinions of it. What Jesus said is have the same Spirit of mind that he had from God, Be ye therefore perfect even as your father in heaven is perfect. You should start listening to Jesus instead of others opinions about him as of one such as Paul in his own ideas about it. Paul is your way, Jesus is my way.

As far as flesh, it is only the place God resides is with that flesh man. But Spirit is not of flesh, only directs the flesh and man in flesh is the temple of it, the place GHod resides in His kingdom. Try and read Jesus sometimes and believe him when he said in Luke 17:20-21 the kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation, it is with n you. You can observe flesh but that is not God, and read Jesus when he told Thomas that Spirit that God is does not have flesh and bone as you see me. Your understanding is very elementary.

Cherry picking? Absolutely, Jesus said it and is very clear in his speech, if his speech goads your doctrine then just take uo that issue with him and tell him he is wrong, for all that I do is quote who Jesus said he was in God. If you don’t like it then accuse him of cherry picking,. Anything outside of what Jesus said is mans own ides isn’t it? Going global? Actually the kingdom of God is with the individual according to Jesus in Luke 17:20-21. You just do not believe Jesus is all.

And here is the blunt truth, if Jesus said it then it is truth for me, if man said it, I have to compare what they said with what Jesus said of himself and his God who sent him, just as I compare what you say with what Jesus said, and plainly someitng in your doctrine does not line up with who Jesus said he was in the God that he called Father. If they do not line up with who Jesus said he was in God, then they have made up their own gospels to pacify their own egos.

Jesus asked Peter, who do you say I am, Peter said the same as I did, the Christ, anointed of God, same Christ in me who was in Jesus, same anointing, same Spirit, same walk as He walks as Jesus did, You don’t walk as He walks do you, you are not that person of Christ that God anoints man to be are you? You really do not know what it is to be in Christy according to your reports here. You think God had only one child, a son, don’t you? You can’t relate to being Gods child His son can you? If God had only one child in His same image then that leaves you completely without Him being your Father doesn’t it?

here is who Jesus said he was in God that obviously you do not believe him in who he said he was in God.

John 12:49: For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 12:44-45. who believes in me, does not believe in me but in Him who sent me. He who sees me sees Him who sent me.

John:16. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

John 5 :17 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 5:19. “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Joihn 17:2-21, the kingdom of God doesnt come withj observation, it is withn you

John 16:23. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

John 14:16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Matt 11:25. At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

@Mac, how do you know that I have never met God? I’ve met him most of all by reading the Bible cover to cover many times during my almost-83 years. I met him at a railroad crossing where he rescued me by inches from death. I’ve met him in nine other events that pointed me to attend seminary to become a pastor with a wife, three children, and no job. I’ve met him in prayer that cured my seven years of major depression. I’ve also met him in the middle of four kinds of physical pain. (See the book What God Has Done: My True, Dramatic God-Biography [Amazon].)

I meet him every day in every way in my book ministry and on three forums.

Were those literal face-to-face meetings? No. God says to Moses, "You cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live” (Exodus 33:20).

If you claim to have seen God face-to-face, either he wasn’t God and was a false god, or you misinterpreted that experience, according to God’s own words.

Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but the same way as he did in Matt 3;16, but by me. Not you not I not anyone else including Jesus can come to the father except the same way as he met Him in Matt 3:16. Most here actually deny that happened and say Jesus didn’t need that salvation from God even though they read it. These might as well tear out that page in their bible for it means noting to them. has no message for them to receive the same from God at all. Born again with that same renewing of mind as Jesus said ye must be born again with that same renewing that he received from GHod Himself. Most here can’t relate to the same in themselves at all, all they have is their own beliefs about it instead of actual realities from God Himself. and it is very obvious that few has found His way here.

@Bruce As for me Jesus has the only truth, anything else that comes out from man I have to compare with who Jesus said he was in God, If someone else has their truths in opinions, and you follow them instead of Jesus tin who he said he was in God, then you are of their truths not Jesus truths.

@Johann All I do is quote who Jesus said he was in the God that he called Father. if his words are not good enough for you and you do not believe him, don’t accuse me of your own iniquities, blame Jesus in who he said he was in God. Here is who he said he was in GHod that obviously you do not believe of him and has your own gospelf or your own beliefs without him.

If you do not believe this then just man up and tell him that you do not believe him in who he said he was in god and you must have the same if you are to be in his God that he obeyed and prayed to.

Read this and tell Jesus he has it all wrong, don’t tell me that I have not all wrong for I didn’t write this stuff, only copied and pasted it to you. Obviously there is One that you do not know, the One Jesus spoke of in himself.

John 12:49: For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 12:44-45. who believes in me, does not believe in me but in Him who sent me. He who sees me sees Him who sent me.

John7:16. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.**

John 14:16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 17:22 (KJV) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Nothing wrong with the verses you quoted, not so with your eisegesis and rejection of the Pauline epistles.

Johann.

It is very obvious by the rebuttals most here place on Jesus in who he said he was in God and that you are supposed to have the same. And it is very obvious that most here actually call Jesus a blasphemer when quoted of him who he was in God. it is easy to see that when Jesus is quoted, all kinds of doctrines are thrown at him from minds that are religious instead of the reality of having Gods same Spirit of mind as their own. Flat out rejecting who Jesus said you should be and would be IF. Everything Jesus commands of you comes with an IF. And it is that IF that you question of him.

All I have to say, @Mac, is “what @Johann said!” He writes the truth according to the Bible, God’s Word.

@Johann If one is confused about spiritual experience then something is missing for God who is a Spirit opens up all His truths in man by the same Spirit of mind that He is. That isn’t my claim, it is Gods claim that He will give you His life to live. If that is confusing then something is missing in your knowledge of.

First, if you do not believe that God came to Jesus and opened in that man all of His heaven, in that man then just man up and confess that you do not believe that and stop trying to edit and rewrite what it says. Jesus didn’t even know God nor His heaven until it came to him by the Spirit that God is. truth is you don’t believe what you read and make your own gospel according to your own understanding instead of Gods understanding.

And everyone who is of God is begotten of Him, which simply means born of, and Jesus was very clear after his renewing of mind by God to be renewed, born again of God, was very clear that ye must be born again of God with that same renewing of mind that he received from God. You don’t believe what you read, that is very obvious.

And you are correct, one cannot duplicate the Christ either you have accepted Gods anointing, Christ, which is His state of mind, knowledge, which would be Christ in you, it is something we become, it is the gift of God to be His anointed ones. All that you are doing is separating yourself from that same anointing, refusing to be that person of Christ that God deans of you if you are to be in His same image that He creates man to be and only God can perform in man.

If you do not believe gen 3;22 then just admit that you do not believe Gen 3;22 instead of making up all these excuses why you are not like to know this same difference that Adams learned in knowledge, Abraham learned in knowledge, Moses learned, Mary learned Jesus learned, 120 learned. All of this became like GHod to know this same difference and they all walked as He walks in His same light of mind did they not? And all today who has received that same knowledge do the same. But evidently His ways is not for you by all these excuses you make up to deny to be yourself in His same image.

All of this changed in the twinkling of an eye, a new heaven and earth was opened in all of these. Obviously you are trying to grow yourself into a concept from mans opinions instead of receiving from God the same gift of knowledge that all of these received from Him.

As for your take on 2 For, If one has received Gods anointing, which would be Christ in you, same anointing that all of these received from God, you also would become exactly as He is anointed of His same mind. Let this same mind be in you who was in Christ Jesus, for he also was anointed of Gpod starting in Matt 3:16 and not before, before he was of the law and taught those laws of man for a god as rabbi. After Matt 3:16 those same laws he once taught are the very ones that had him crucified for blaspheme, a liar. You are putting Gods anointing locked up in a iron cage of religiosity instead of receiving the gift for all that you have to do is open that gift and all of heaven would be open in your the same as it was in all of these we read of. Why you deny to do so is your own pride that you have all the answers and do not need from God nor His input. There is a way to access Him and get direction from Him instead of what someone says about Him from their own beliefs.

As far as a new heaven and earth open, there is only one way that can happen and it is through the whole of the Bible. By My Spirit says the Lord. and that is what is missing in your doctrine is God Himself opening a new heaven and earth in your, for obviously you Arte stuck in mans religious ideas for a god instead of healing from God Himself without mans input.

And God teaches that salvation is to receive from God Himself His same Spirit of mind and walk in it as He walks in it.
You edit the Bible to justify your self explanation
And as gnostics teachings that God is a Spirit and man is the place of it, is evil for you just as you stated it is. Jesus taught the same thing rad it in Luke 17:20-21 from Jesus himself where God resides that you count as gnostic evil.
As far as the cross, it is the place where the flesh man in carnality is laid to rest, a man as a god dies, and the spirit, mind, of that man is risen and comes to us all who will die that same carnal death and come to life in that same Spirit that was released from that man. You are very elementary in spiritual knowledge.
I blame God child through birth, born again just as Jesus did in Matt 3;16, and said you must do the same if you are to be born of Gods Spirit. What you do is listen to man instead and only try to adopt yourself into His kingdom instead of being born of His Spirit. Bu tit isn’t to late to be.

Test your revelation of Spirit and see if you are like Him and in His same image that is not flesh but is Spirit. Seek ye first His kingdom and not your own ideas for a god. where is His kingdom, See Jesus in Luke 17;20-21, it is very clear where it is. Your ego to be right is keeping from the truth in it. You seek the sensational instead of the simplicity of Spirit that God puts into man Himself.

@Mac

you say “If one is confused about spiritual experience then something is missing”, but it is written: “God is not a God of confusion but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33) — and peace comes not through some hidden mystical experience but through faith in Christ crucified and risen, as proclaimed in the gospel (Romans 5:1).

You say “Jesus didn’t even know God nor His heaven until it came to him by the Spirit”, but it is written: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1) — and again “No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man” (John 3:13). Jesus did not become the Son at baptism — He is the eternal Son who took flesh (John 1:14).

You say “you must be born again with the same renewing of mind that he received from God”, but it is written: “You must be born again” (John 3:7) — and that birth is not a mental renewal alone but a sovereign work of the Spirit, who blows where He wishes (John 3:8). Regeneration is not just a shift of mindset but a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

You say “Christ is something we become… His state of mind”, but it is written: “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27) — He dwells in believers by His Spirit, but believers are never “Christ.” We are conformed to His image (Romans 8:29) but remain redeemed creatures, not Christs.

You say “all of these became like God”, citing Genesis 3:22, but it is written: “you shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). Becoming godly in character is not the same as becoming God — Adam’s desire to “be like God” was the very sin that brought the curse (Genesis 3:5–6).

You say “Jesus became anointed only at Matthew 3:16 and before that was of the law”, but it is written: “He was called holy — the Son of God — from the moment of conception” (Luke 1:35), and already at twelve years old He declared, “Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:49). His baptism did not make Him divine — it revealed Him to Israel (John 1:31).

You say “the cross is where a man as a god dies, and the spirit is released”, but it is written: “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The cross is not just an example or a metaphor — it is the atoning sacrifice that reconciles sinners to God (1 Peter 2:24).

You say “you seek the sensational instead of the simplicity of Spirit”, but it is written: “the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18). The Spirit always points us to Christ crucified and risen (John 16:14).

You say much, but it is written: “If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing” (1 Timothy 6:3–4).

Repent of redefining Christ, of reducing the Spirit to a mindset, and of denying the eternal Sonship of Jesus. Believe what is written: “Who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:15–16). That confession saves — not mystical speculation.

@Samuel_23 Good Post!
#1 If one is to be of the God of heaven, which simply is Love, then one has to be exactly like Him and in His same entity, created by that same state of mind that is not of flesh, is not of this world but in this world. And the idea that God became a man instead of entering into man to be in His same image is purely in ignorance for who God is from lack in meeting the God of Love face to face. 1 John 3 and when you see Him as He is, ye shall be like Him and not before at all.

#2 Heaven and hell is a state of being, not a place that we go to and observe, Jesus was very clear in this in Luke 17:20-21, the kingdom of God does not come with observation it is within you. God is the creator of heaven and hell and man is the temple of one or the other, it is who we are not what we are. Is 45:7. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

And you are so correct that the difficulty for man to go through that fire and be cleansed from his own ways and ideas for a god from a religious stand point instead of the reality of actually being in Gods same image that of Love, that fire is refining, it burns the soul of man and cleanses it from all iniquities that is performed outside of Love.

#3. As far as the trinity, it is only a concept devised by man where God Himself is absent from they own knowledge. When Father, son, and Holy Spirit is categorized as one simply means, that God is my Father, I am His son by birth rights not adoption as some has been lead to believe, and I have inherited His Spirit that is Love,. These three are one.
Jesus even prayed to his God in John 17 that I be one in the Father as he was one in the Father. The debate comes when one is not born of God and only hold true to mans own concept for a god with noting tangible to confirm a truth but based purely on a belief instead. And as I have stated, one can believe anything about a god but it is a completely different matter when one meets Him face to face and His reality becomes manifest by God Himself and not just speculations based on a belief.

Thanks @Mac brother this is what was taught my community
Thanks for ur eloquent reply

@ Johann#1 – You said --This argument confuses mystical imitation with divine redemption, ignores the centrality of the cross, redefines the Spirit as “mind” rather than the third Person of the Trinity, and ultimately preaches another gospel. It presents salvation not as a gift received by grace through faith, but as a spiritual method of self-elevation, which is foreign to Scripture and hostile to apostolic teaching.

Mac says - I agree, those who are of the laws of a belief system are truly confused with the realities of – that only God Himself can open in man. They cannot relate to His ways at all, all they can relate to is what man says says about Him in speculations, beliefs. there is noting real about beliefs only the manifestations of within you is real. And as I said one can believe anything about a god so obvious in these some 35,000 different known belief systems about a god.

In the God who is Love, there is no third person, it is you and God an no one else to clutter up His will for you.

And again I do not follow Pauls doctrine that he made up himself, I follow Jesus in his that is made up by God Himself.

#2 – Y9ou say Spirit is not your mind. So you do not have a spirit but only a mind?
When one encounters God as Jesus did and all of this we read of who did, we see a change of mind that became like His and walked in it as He walks in it. You can say that your mind is not your spirit but the truth is your mind, the spirit of it, is who you are, not what you are. That spirit of mind guides your very body, the head of your body, your godhead bodily.

The mind is Spirit, you can’t see it, you can’t touch it, it is invisible. Jesus was every clear to Thomas that spirit or mind, does not have flesh and bone as you see me. All that you can see of spirit is what the body does with it, and the actions of. Like the wind, you can’t see it but you can see the results of. it is alive, ever moving.

And man has reduced God all the way down to the bottom of depths for their gods to be in their own image of a man, and to be a man instead of the disposition of man who is of God that you are supposed to be offend controlled by God, obeying His commands.

The cross can do noting at all for you as long as you see your god dead on it. If you would take that god off that cross and pout the same Spirit in you who was in that man, only then will your reap the bendiest of a living God and not a dead one who dead on a cross. That man didn’t take your place in death, he died by the hands of peoples ignorance for who God really is.

Your god is yet to come someday and save you isn’t he. My God and Jesus came to us and saved us from all these beliefs systems man has placed on a god that they can control and be in their own image of a man. Doesnt have a clue who the God os Spirit is which is of mind to control it.

#5 – No religion is correct according to the God of Love, It is who you are not what you believe for a god and manufacture a god to suit a belief for as god. religions come a dime a dozen.
Love is not a religion it is who you are or are not. It is a state of being.

Laying down mystical pride is the most difficult thing for religious minds. The religious minded comes to me with the demand that I must believe this or that. The spiritual minded comes to me with the demand that I square my life with the standards of Jesus and walk as he walked in it.

Trying to preach to Jesus and dictate to him in who he was suppose to be according to a belief contrary to who he said he was in God is futile for we who has the same from the same God as he was of that he received from Him know the same truth as Jesus received from Him. If you are different from who Jesus was in the Father then you are on your own and has formed your own god that he may obey you.

Your response isn’t just misguided—it’s spiritually reckless. You trample on the cross, redefine the Spirit, exalt man as god, and call apostolic doctrine “man-made,” while treating subjective impressions as divine truth. That’s not boldness—it’s blindness.

#1 – “Belief systems are confused, I only follow what God opens in me.”
No, you follow your own spirit, not the Spirit of truth. Scripture declares faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17), not your inner whispers. Jesus did not say “trust your internal manifestation,” He said believe in Me (John 14:1). You call belief a man-made invention—yet Jesus says “only believe” (Mark 5:36). You despise Paul, but God called him personally (Acts 9:15), and his gospel came by direct revelation of Christ (Galatians 1:12). Rejecting Paul is rejecting the Spirit who sent him.

#2 – “Spirit is the mind. My god is not a third person.”
Your spirit is not the Spirit. You collapse personhood into abstraction. God is not a brainwave or vague energy—He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, revealed, not invented. The Holy Spirit is not your inner thoughts. He convicts, teaches, speaks, and sends (John 16:8, Acts 13:2). That is not a metaphor—that is a Person. Reducing the Trinity to self-experience is heresy. Jesus said the Spirit would glorify Him, not you (John 16:14). You exalt your consciousness above the crucified Son and call it revelation. That’s not theology—it’s narcissism.

#3 – “The cross can do nothing for you if you keep Jesus on it.”
What utter mockery. You strip the cross of power while claiming to walk in the Spirit. Scripture says “we preach Christ crucified” (1 Corinthians 1:23), “the message of the cross is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18). The cross is not dead weight—it is where sin was condemned, where wrath was satisfied, where redemption was purchased. You don’t remove Jesus from the cross—you fall at the foot of it. Your “living God” who didn’t die for you is not the God of the gospel.

#4 – “Jesus died by ignorance, not for our sins.”
That’s blasphemy. Scripture says He “bore our sins in His body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24), that God “made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us” (2 Corinthians 5:21). You say Jesus did not take your place—then you have no substitute, no righteousness, and no gospel. What you’re preaching is not salvation, it’s self-delusion wrapped in pious language.

#5 – “Love is not a religion, it’s a state of being.”
Wrong again. Love is not a floating state—it is the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), grounded in the cross of Christ. “By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us” (1 John 3:16). You cannot preach divine love while denying divine justice. You cannot preach transformation without blood atonement. You say no religion is correct—then what is Christ’s church? You strip the gospel of its content and replace it with poetic abstractions. That’s not spirituality—it’s confusion.

You mock the apostles, elevate your own experience, and call the biblical gospel man’s invention. But the truth is this: if your god didn’t die, didn’t rise, and didn’t send the Spirit as a Person, then your god is not the God of Scripture. You need to repent before the God you’ve reduced to your own mirror image. The gospel does not conform to your mind. The gospel commands your mind to be crucified and renewed.

“Let God be true though every man a liar.” Romans 3:4
“If anyone preaches a different gospel, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8

@Johann It is only misguided and reckless to the same as Jesus was misguided and reckless to that same mentality as they had of Jesus. There is no such thing as a third person, God is a Spirit not a person. Luke 17:20-21

#1, As far as Romans, Jesus didn’t say that Paul did.
And Jesus dis say believe him not Paul. You believe Paul instead.
Beliefs? which one are you of, Mormons beliefs, Catholics beliefs, AOGs, COCs, Baptists, Jehovah witness, Muslims? Tell us which belief that you are of and I will tell you who Jesus said he was in God and that you should be the same that is not a belief but the reality of.

#2 – My Spirit of mind is the same One as Jesus had from our Goid, that of Love that God is. Only because you can’t relate to that same Spirit of mind doesn’t mean others can’t,

And God is a Spirit of Love, and is my Father, I am His son, and these three are one. be one in hJesus same God as he was one in Him in John 17.
And I agree with you in as you say, Gods Spirit is not within your inner thoughts only because you have not been introduced to His inner thoughts, you dictate to Him who you would have Him be instead.
And He does convict and conviction is to be as He is and in His same image. You just refuse that conviction and to proud of yourself to let Him do the convicting.

#3. As far as the cross, the purpose in it is death too that flesh man in carnality and resurrection of the Spirit man in triumph coming to life in you. There is two deaths, first one is death to that carnal spirit and resurrection of the Spirit man, the second death is to the flesh man return to dust. You are very elementary in understanding. You are not applying the simple truths in any of what God has in offering to you. The way of the cross is only mockery to one who has not experienced it.

#4 – Jesus didn’t die for your sin, he died because of your sins. There is only one sin God recognizes and that is to be separated form him to not have His same disposition of mind. That is th only sin God cannot forgive you of is rejecting His Spirit to be exactly like Him and in His same image. Killing, stealing, chasing the neighbors wife is not sin, those things are only result from form sin, that separation from hang his same Spirit of Love as your own disposition. And in having that, all those laws are fulfilled. You are very shallow in understanding and wade the shallows of a beach of a very deep ocean. You think you have all the answers but all that you have is laws to govern your beliefs for a god that you can control.

#5, Amen Love is not a religion, it is who we are or are not. The reality of God Himself coming to you. And when ye see Him as He is, ye shall be like Him. 1 John 3.
And everyone who has received from God the same as Jesus did lays down our own life, our own desires and needs to help and give to those in need, that is common among Gods people that of Love. Something that obviously you are not familiar with?
You cannot preach transformation at all without the experience of being transformed from flesh in carnality to spirituality as Jesus did in Matt 3:16 that evidently is a lie for you and made him a god instead
Christs church? Gods church is anyone who He is come to and made them in His same image as he did in Jesus. we walk as He walks in His same light just as Jesus did, same signs follow us who followed Jesus. The is Gods church. Mans church has rules and regulations for a god they can control instead of being in the image of the author of it.

I follow Jesus. You count that as mockery I count that as being smart to do so. Man can be wrong can’t they? but God Himself manifest in you cannot be wrong can He?

do as Jesus said. John 16:23. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Fist you have to seek His kingdom then all the things will be added to you. Jesus told you where Gods is in Luke 17:20-21, but then you would have to count Jesus as having that truth wouldn’t you?
If anyone preaches a different gospel that the one Jesus preached, then you follow a man in carnality instead of the God Jesus followed and preached of.

read it and tell Jesus he was wrong as you continually do.

John 12:49: For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 12:44-45. who believes in me, does not believe in me but in Him who sent me. He who sees me sees Him who sent me.

John 7:16.

John 14:16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
